SJP PROPERTIES EXPANDS TEAM WITH NEW HIRE: PETER WELCH JOINS AS INVESTMENT ASSOCIATE

NEW YORK (April 22, 2026) – SJP Properties, a privately owned, fully integrated real estate developer, investor and operator, today announced the addition of Peter Welch as Investment Associate. At SJP Properties, Welch will join a dynamic team focused on the acquisition and development of Class-A office buildings, residential properties, and mixed-use projects across the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area and select Southeast markets.
With more than 40 years of experience, SJP Properties has developed and acquired over 25 million square feet of property and completed $6.5 billion in real estate transactions. The firm is widely recognized for its deep market expertise, long-standing relationships, and vertically integrated approach spanning development, investment, construction, and asset management.

Prior to joining SJP Properties, Welch served as a Senior Financial Analyst on the Capital Markets team at Cushman & Wakefield, where he supported the execution of real estate transactions from initial underwriting through closing. In this role, he was responsible for financial modeling, valuation, and the preparation of marketing materials including offering memoranda and broker opinions of value. He also played a key role in managing due diligence processes, coordinating investor outreach, and supporting client relationships throughout the transaction lifecycle.
Welch holds a Master of Management Studies from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a Certificate in Markets and Management from Duke University.
