Katherine Pozycki-Alonso
As Principal of SJP Properties, Katherine Pozycki-Alonso leads the design vision and execution across the firm’s residential and commercial portfolio. She oversees every stage of the design process—from concept to completion—ensuring that each project reflects SJP’s commitment to elevated design, enduring quality, and contextual sensitivity.
Katherine has played a key leadership role in the design and development of several of the firm’s most iconic projects, including The Platinum in Midtown Manhattan, 200 Amsterdam on the Upper West Side, and The Modern, the twin-glass residential towers that have redefined the skyline of Fort Lee, New Jersey. Her ability to merge refined aesthetics with functional planning has helped establish SJP’s reputation for delivering distinctive properties that have achieved commercial success.
Katherine collaborates closely with architects, interior designers, and consultants to guide creative direction, ensuring that design decisions align with overall development and community objectives. She prioritizes design excellence while exercising thoughtful cost control, delivering spaces that are both refined and cost-efficient.
Katherine is also a licensed real estate broker in New York and an active member of several industry organizations, including the Association of Real Estate Women (AREW) and Professional Women in Construction (PWC).
Earlier in her career, she taught math and science in New York City’s public school system—an experience that instilled her with strong analytical skills, patience, and a deep appreciation for inclusive, community-oriented environments. It also proved excellent preparation for raising three young children.
She holds a Master’s in Real Estate Development from New York University and dual Master’s degrees in Science of Education and Special Education from Pace University.
