Two mirror-image buildings, linked by a curvilinear sky bridge and totaling 620,000 square feet, were completed in 2001 as build-to-suit developments for Aventis Pharma. The facilities serve as the North American headquarters for the company. The buildings were specifically designed to meet Aventis’ particular needs and include, in addition to executive offices the boardroom facilities, such amenities as a 225-seat auditorium and theater, video conferencing facilities, a full service kitchen and servery, a cafeteria, a fitness center, a high-end security system (including all parking areas), a data center tied in to the company’s R&D facility, and a broadcast studio with its own broadcasting channel. In addition to particular structural and acoustical needs, this studio had elaborate electrical and air conditioning requirements. The development also includes structured parking facilities.
