Bayer AG Consumer Health Products

For the Bayer project, SJP developed a 150,000 sf state-of-the-art facility to house the North American Consumer Care Headquarters of Bayer, A.G., which included an extremely complex and sophisticated 75,000 sf GMP Laboratory. Bayer’s occupancy requirement had a very limited time frame. SJP delivered both the office build out and GMP laboratory within 13 months, 30% less time than Bayer required to complete projects of a similar scope in the past. To accomplish this, SJP provided the user groups with information and evaluations of time and cost streamlined the procurement procedure to accelerate the process and delivered the same high quality and functionality to the users. Acting as both Program Manager and Construction Manager for Bayer, SJP performed detailed due diligence on the site, which presented complex environmental clean-up issues, and advised Bayer on modifications of state and local land use approvals and lease negotiations with the site owner. SJP acted as a developer of the research laboratory and the interior build out of the office building. We managed the design, cost and construction execution of the overall project. Furthermore, SJP supervised, budgeted value engineered and bid the design improvements, and acted as construction manager of the tenant build-out and together with Sordoni Skanska, provided turnkey construction of the laboratory facility.
